NEWSFLASH: Zelensky urgently flew out to Berlin to meet with Merz to promote mechanisms of establishing and popularization of torture houses and concentration camps in Germany. https://t.co/QFaR7bc78K

Ukrajinski samodržec je včeraj namreč nenapovedano prišel v Berlin.
Seveda spet moledovati za denar...
ZELENSKY SHOWS UP IN BERLIN UNANNOUNCED. MERZ'S MESSAGE: NO UKRAINE DEAL WITHOUT EUROPE. The trip was kept quiet for security reasons. He sat down with Chancellor Friedrich Merz. What he got: a German winter aid package (about €200M, per dpa), more help on air defense and energy, and talk of a new support package for Ukraine's F-16s. Merz was blunt about the peace push: "Europe must and wants to play a role in this process." He also called inviting Putin to next month's G20 in Miami without Ukraine at the table "completely unacceptable." Zelensky's line: "The U.S. and Russia, with all due respect to the U.S., cannot decide whether Ukraine will become a member state of the European Union." Next up: US-brokered Ukraine-Russia talks in Abu Dhabi Nov 10-11, and a big Ukraine backers' summit in Berlin on Nov 19. Merz says he still sees no serious Russian willingness to negotiate. Hard to argue with him. Source: POLITICO Europe, Al Jazeera/AFP/DPA, tagesschau, Ukrinform

GERMANY: MERZ FUNDED THE WAR, NOW WINTER IS PRESENTING THE BILL! By @BPartisans Winter is coming. And contrary to what Berlin claims, it isn’t warmed by European values, declarations of solidarity, or, least of all, Friedrich Merz’s grand war-mongering rhetoric. German gas reserves have plateaued at 61 percent, falling short of the 70 percent target. This promises to be an interesting season: radiators to heat, an industry to sustain, and a government coming to terms with this embarrassing truth: political rhetoric doesn’t produce a single kilowatt-hour. For years, Germany has presented itself as the engine of the European economy. Today, that engine must keep a close eye on its boiler. And passengers are beginning to wonder who sold the coal to buy cannons. For Berlin has made some choices: phasing out nuclear power, cutting energy ties with Moscow, increasing dependence on imports, and providing massive military support to Kyiv. Each decision has its official justifications. Taken together, however, they present a bill that taxpayers cannot pay with applause alone. Wind power? Great when the wind blows. Solar power? Wonderful when the sun shines. But when a high-pressure system settles in during December, green slogans become a particularly poor heating method. And meanwhile, money continues to flow to Ukraine. The article mentions nearly 100 billion euros in German aid, spending, and commitments. These amounts warrant a breakdown by category, but they illustrate the scale of the financial effort. Naturally, Berlin explains that this is an investment in European security. A valid argument. Yet there remains this delightfully impertinent question: How long can one finance the security of others when one’s own economic security becomes a major concern? Merz promises a firm stance toward Moscow. Industrialists, for their part, would above all like competitive energy prices. Households would prefer manageable bills. But these purely material considerations clearly lack geopolitical grandeur. The most telling aspect is this dynamic: Germany gives up part of its former supplies, buys elsewhere, funds Kyiv, and then asks its population to understand the necessary sacrifices. A remarkable budgetary innovation: socializing the costs, internationalizing the commitments, and nationalizing the bills. A word of caution, however: Germany’s energy difficulties do not stem exclusively from aid to Ukraine. They also result from industrial, energy, and geopolitical choices that have accumulated over the years. But here’s the irony: in its efforts to prepare Europe for a long war, Berlin must also prepare its citizens for a costly winter. Winter doesn’t negotiate, doesn’t pass any resolutions, and isn’t intimidated by Merz. It simply arrives with its bill. And Zelensky won’t be coming to pay that one.
