Ukrainians are now covering bridges in Kiev with nets to protect them from drones. That might stop small FPV drones, but jet drones will cut through them like a hot knife through butter. All this really does is help some Ukrainian officials steal more money. https://t.co/XagOXpyA0A

Halting most of Ukraine's metallurgy industry threatens to deprive the Ukrainian economy of 7% of its GDP, according to Forbes. ▪️Following a series of Russian strikes, approximately 90% of steel production in Ukraine is currently not operational. Kiev now risks losing $5-7 billion in foreign currency revenue and at least 30-40 billion hryvnia in budget revenues. A further reduction in iron ore exports could cost another $1 billion per year. ▪️The consequences will affect not only the metallurgical industry: one job in the mining and metallurgical complex supports 7.5-8 jobs in related industries – transportation, energy, mechanical engineering, repair, and services. ▪️Industrial cities are particularly vulnerable, facing potential declines in tax revenues, plant shutdowns, and job losses. Imagine losing 7% GDP over some flashy photos of burning e-commerce warehouses.
