Napovedal je, da bi se lahko ameriške ladje ustavile blizu kubanske obale, nakar bi ameriški državni sekretar Marco Rubio dobil navodila za dosego dogovora.

 Donald Trump has threatened Cuba with a dramatic show of American naval power, suggesting that U.S. warships returning from operations near Iran could be deployed directly off the Cuban coast to pressure Havana into an agreement. “When we come back from Iran, those beautiful ships will sail past Cuba. We’ll park one of them about 50 yards offshore, they’ll put their hands up, and then we’ll send Marco Rubio in to finish the deal,” Trump declared.  Trump’s remarks combine an explicit threat of military intimidation with the prospect of a diplomatic agreement negotiated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Positioning American warships so close to Cuba’s coastline would carry serious military and diplomatic risks. The statement also suggests that Trump views the threat of overwhelming U.S. force as a potential means of extracting concessions from Havana.
